Sinking Ship

Ladies and gentlemen, today is June 13, 2017.  This is the OFFICIAL LAUNCH of my new webcomic.  So without further delay...ON WITH THE SHOW!

UPDATE (10/6/2019):  The above cartoon is an updated version of the original first cartoon for Tiffany & Corey.  To be honest, I was not happy with that first one I posted.  It is being kept here on the page though for archival purposes.

About Me

My legal name is my own business.  My professional name is Max West and I'm the creator of this webcomic Tiffany & Corey.

I was born in New York City on January 4, 1980.  I hold a degree in creative writing from Baruch College.  As for my art skills, I took night classes at the School of Visual Arts.

I am the creator of the print comics series Sunnyville Stories and that has its own blog.

I draw these Tiffany & Corey gag cartoons with pen & ink on paper.  Lettering is done by hand when I have speech balloons but the captions are added digitally after.  Color work is done with mixed media - usually, it's a combination of markers, inks, acrylic and gouache.

I can be reached at maxwestart(at)gmail(dot)com or by snail mail at:

Introduction to Tiffany & Corey

People try to look for deep meanings in my work.  I want to say "They're just cartoons, folks.  You laugh or you don't."  - Gary Larson

Ladies and gentlemen, my professional name is Max West and I'd like to welcome you to this Google powered blog.  This site will be the host for my new webcomic, Tiffany & Corey.  I am also the creator of the print comic Sunnyville Stories and that has its own blog.

Tiffany & Corey is a gag-per-day webcomic not unlike Gary Larson's creation the Far Side but with recurring characters like Heathcliff and the Lockhorns.  This webcomic is updated semiweekly - that means twice a week, on Tuesdays and on Fridays.

These are done as single panel cartoons in black & white but occasional multi-panel comics and color work will be shown.

As a warning, there'll be occasional gallows humor and use of alcohol.

Any questions or comments can be sent to maxwestart(at)gmail(dot)com or you can write to the following address:

Hope you enjoy Tiffany & Corey, my latest creation!

How to Use RSS Feeds

I'm currently setting up an RSS feed for this blog and webcomic of mine - Tiffany & Corey (which officially launches on June 13, 2017) - that may be a term you've heard before.

But what on Earth does it mean?

RSS stands for "REALLY SIMPLE SYNDICATION".  It's basically a way of distilling the bare essentials of a website, weblog, etc. to make it easier for readers, fans, and other colorful characters to digest their favorite web content.

To make use of RSS, you need an Internet connection and a feed reader, also called an aggregator.

There's many out there like Feedly or Google Feedburner.

And how do you know if the site you're looking at has an RSS feed?  Just look for this symbol.

If you see that symbol, the page has an RSS feed for you.

Cool, uh?
